Pods and Pudding is a catering company based in Ferndale Gauteng. We are a proudly female black owned and managed business; extremely passionate about food.Pods and Pudding was formed purely on passion. The owner Sifiso realized her passion for food at an early age. It all started with preparing food for family gatherings, platters for colleagues at no cost and everyone seemed to enjoy the food. Thereafter requests for catering for friends and family started pouring in. As an ex-corporate employee herself she became “tired of being served sub-standard meals at functions”. She quit her job and began to cook for a living. Pods and Putting was later registered in 2016 but cooking started a long time ago. Sifiso who was once employed in the marketing division of her previous employer ran some events and that is where she obtained her experience in food services and event management. Sifiso installs a hands-on approach in all contracts and goes to extreme lengths to fulfil Pods and Pudding catering’s promise of superior quality and service.
Food is prepared by our team of well qualified and experienced cooks. The team is headed by a qualified Chef, Chef Richard who has over 13 years experience in the Hospitality Industry. He obtained his cooking certificate at one of the most prestigious schools in SA, Food and Wine Culinary School. He has also done courses like Management in Stock Keeping & Stock Control, Supervisory Skills and Health and Safety. He is an all-rounder in the kitchen and he can handle big events from start to finish. Chef Richard has worked at By Word of Mouth where he has cooked for companies like Vodaworld, Standard Bank, ANC Rallies, Transnet and many more companies. He has also worked for Methodist Homes, Black Jacks and Transnet Canteen. The kitchen is his playground, he can basically make anything from meats, soups, vegetables to sushi and oysters. We are privileged to have a Chef with such wealth of experience.
